Self-Esteem
I can! You can never outperform your self-image. This is a cornerstone to improving your self-esteem. If you don’t believe that you are enough you will struggle to create more in your world. It is that limiting belief that causes people to struggle, it is also tied to your belief in what you deserve. If you feel that you deserve to have less because some little voice is telling you that you don’t deserve it. That voice says something like “Remember that time when you did? That time you ate the last cookie. That time you called in sick at work to go to the hockey game.” All of this talk in your head is not real, it is based on things taught to us as children based on some guilt they wanted to use to get you to do what they wanted. It has a huge impact on your self-esteem. Remember you can no more change what you did last week, last month, last year than you can change the time you got up this morning. What do I mean? You got up today when you did and you can’t change that, so if you can’t change something that recent, then how can you possibly change something you did weeks, months or years ago? Forgive yourself, the person, or people that did or said whatever it is you are hanging onto that is limiting your ability to believe in yourself.
How Do I Change
What do I do when that “voice” keeps telling me “I’m not good enough” “You can’t do that” “What will they say?”
I have a mantra “Cancel, Cancel, Cancel, Thank you for sharing. I am in the process of…..(fill in the blank with the opposite positive statement).”

Examples:
“Cancel, Cancel, Cancel, Thank you for sharing. I am in the process of becoming a fantastic Dad.”
“Cancel, Cancel, Cancel, Thank you for sharing. I am in the process of becoming an awesome business owner.”
“Cancel, Cancel, Cancel, Thank you for sharing. I am in the process of becoming a millionaire.”
It takes time to create this new habit and use it when that limiting voice or belief comes up. You have train your conscious mind to use the tools I described above. Much like your conscious mind was programmed to believe the limiting belief given to it by other people you must retrain it to believe the new self-image you are creating.
Self-image
The self-image you are creating must be based on the new you that you want to be. For example, I will never be a professional opera singer, why? I don’t want to be an opera singer. I appreciate people who are opera singers, however, I have no desire, drive, passion in me to pursue a life as an opera singer. However, I have wanted to be a Dad for a long time, it took time to find the person I wanted to marry and have a family with. Now I have a beautiful wife and daughter. I wanted to have an impact in the world and to do that I wanted to speak before an audience. I had to want it, why? Research says that the greatest fear for most people is public speaking. If I had no desire, or drive to speak publicly I would have found myself living the fear that most people feel.
With repetition and believe you will shift that inner voice and its limiting beliefs. the more you desire to move, shift, achieve the faster these changes will happen.
